The East Lake Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 92-31 win over Dunedin at home. East Lake has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
Leading East Lake to victory were Brody Church and Anthony Brown. Church scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Brown dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Shane Singleton, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
East Lake's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Dunedin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Lake will stay at home for another game and welcome Fivay at 7:45 p.m. on February 1st. Dunedin will take on Pinellas Park at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Pinellas Park has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3.
