Penn Hills  took care of business in their home opener  on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   10-6  win over the Carrick Raiders.
 Izzy Decarlo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up 15 Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Addison Helsel, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Seven bases. while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooklyn Best, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Penn Hills  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrick only posted  an  OBP of  .375.
 Looking ahead, Penn Hills will face off against Ambridge at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Carrick, they will venture away from home to  challenge Obama Academy of International Studies  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Carrick is coming into the  matchup on  a  five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
