Among those leading the charge was Tristan Brooks, who scored 21 points along with three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Maiden, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
A Plus Academy's defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.2 points per game. As for Trinity Leadership, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-15 record this season.
A Plus Academy will head out on the road to challenge Madison at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully A Plus Academy likes a good challenge. As for Trinity Leadership, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gateway Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gateway Charter Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1375th, while Trinity Leadership is ranked 613th).
