Alexandra Kerstetter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.7 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ava Schwerk, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Valentine, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Pine Valley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Forestville Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
