Basketball Recap: Robinson Mendez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Aynor over Pee Dee Academy

Aynor lost against Pee Dee Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aynor Blue Jackets took a 47-31 bruising from the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles. The Blue Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aynor lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Robinson Mendez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Mendez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jamarion Mitchell, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Aynor now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Pee Dee Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Aynor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-37 victory against Lake View on the 14th. As for Pee Dee Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-26 win against Carolina Academy on the 14th.
