It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Saxony Lutheran Crusaders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They secured a 71-67 W over St. Vincent. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Evie Caruso was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Saxony Lutheran's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Preusser, who scored 14 points.
Saxony Lutheran now has a winning record of 3-2. As for St. Vincent, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Saxony Lutheran will head out on the road to face off against Doniphan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Doniphan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for St. Vincent, they will look to defend their home court on December 14th against Central at 7:00 p.m.
