Morgan County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pike County Pirates 67-19. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Morgan County to victory were Zeki Locus and Jaylen Elder. Locus went 6 for 12 en route to 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, while Elder went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Locus is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Simmons, who posted ten points and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Morgan County was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Pike County still got an impressive performance from Yadi Rosado, who scored 13 points and six rebounds. That was a full 68.4% of Pike County's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Morgan County pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Pike County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Morgan County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-37 victory against Rutland on the 1st. As for Pike County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-61 defeat against Callaway on the 3rd.
