The Lake Creek Lions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Rudder Rangers at 6:30 p.m. Lake Creek has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 762 points over their last 11 games.
Even though A&M Consolidated scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Lake Creek still came out on top. Lake Creek walked away with a 72-64 victory over the Tigers.
Lake Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aedan Lewis, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Puckett, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Rudder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of College Station by a score of 54-51. Rudder has struggled against the Cougars recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Lake Creek is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. As for Rudder, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.
Lake Creek beat the Rangers 72-61 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Lake Creek repeat their success, or do the Rangers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
