Basketball Recap: Nicolet Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Nicolet won the last time they faced Grafton, and David Bolden did his part to make sure it happened again. The Nicolet Knights took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 94-58 win over the Grafton Black Hawks thanks in part to Bolden, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

The team also got some help courtesy of Rashaad Davis, who posted 19 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. The game was his 17th in a row with at least ten points.

Nicolet pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points per game. As for Grafton, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Nicolet will head out to challenge Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cedarburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 contests. As for Grafton, they will welcome West Bend West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Bend West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Grafton likes a good challenge.
