 In other batting news, Elmwood got a  massive  performance out of  Leah Allison, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Libbie Tyson, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Elmwood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vanlue only managed six  hits.
The  victory snapped Elmwood's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 3-4 record. As for Vanlue,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-4.
 Looking ahead, Elmwood will host Arcadia  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 6.3  runs per game this season. As for Vanlue, they will head out to  challenge Ridgemont  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
