It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Benedictine Cadets had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 48-26 victory. The win was just business as usual for Benedictine, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Benedictine had a senior duo take command as Bryce Baker rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries and Luke Kromenhoek rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown.
Benedictine has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.8 points. As for North Oconee, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1.
Benedictine will head out on the road to face off against Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stockbridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Oconee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
