Softball Recap: Calhoun City Has No Trouble Against Water Valley

Calhoun City's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Water Valley Blue Devils 21-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six games by 13 runs or more so far this season.

Chloe Goodson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Aniah Echols was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Calhoun City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Water Valley only posted an OBP of .333.

Calhoun City now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Water Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun City will square off against Houston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Water Valley, they will face off against Rosa Fort at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
