Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Almont Raiders, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 38-24 fall against the Stags on Saturday. Almont's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Almont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Battani. Despite the final result, he rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Battani was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Almont's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Kingsley, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Almont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kingsley also has no future games currently scheduled.
