The Memorial Chargers were the 55-47 winner over the Will Rogers College Ropers when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Memorial took a 67-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ropers on Thursday. Even though they lost, Memorial's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Memorial still got an impressive performance from Mataya Hall, who scored 31 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hall has scored all season. Amari Landrum was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Will Rogers College, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Memorial is on the road again on Friday and plays the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Will Rogers College, they will play host again and welcome the Roughers, where tip off is scheduled for TBD on Friday. Hopefully Muskogee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Thursday.
