Miami Valley is 2-8 against the Lions since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Miami Valley Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Miami Valley comes in on eight and the Lions on four.
Even though Miami Valley has not done well against the WARRIORS recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Miami Valley came out on top against the WARRIORS by a score of 61-51.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jazzy Arogun, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Barnard, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights on Saturday, taking the game 50-37. Emmanuel Christian Academy pushed the score to 42-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.
Miami Valley pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Emmanuel Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Miami Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Lions in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Miami Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
