Perhaps the best among them was Callee Perry, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Perry has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carolina Harrell, who scored 14 points.
Northside - Pinetown was led to victory by Mariah Jones and Madison Scheffler. Jones scored ten points along with six rebounds and five blocks, while Scheffler scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiele Scott, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Bear Grass Charter's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Northside - Pinetown, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Bear Grass Charter will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 566th, while Bear Grass Charter is ranked 277th). As for Northside - Pinetown, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Carteret at 6:00 p.m.
