The Becker Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 86-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chisago Lakes Area. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (61), Becker still had to take the loss.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Gass, who scored 17 points along with three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gass has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Brown, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Becker's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Chisago Lakes Area, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Becker will be playing at home against St. Anthony Village at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Anthony Village's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Chisago Lakes Area, they will head out on the road to square off against Monticello at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monticello and Chisago Lakes Area are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
