While North Duplin's win against Neuse Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The North Duplin Rebels won by a run and slipped past the Neuse Charter Cougars 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.

Wesley Holmes was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up three RBI, which were his first of the season. Garris Warren was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

North Duplin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Neuse Charter struck out 11 times.

North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Neuse Charter, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Duplin will square off against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Neuse Charter, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Neuse Charter Cougars take on Hobbton Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hobbton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Neuse Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
