It was a good run, but the Liberty Christian Prep Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Family Christian Academy. The contest was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but Liberty Christian Prep couldn't quite close it out.
Despite the defeat, Liberty Christian Prep saw an underclassman step up: Desiree Ouma scored 18 points. Ouma is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Shemias Williams, who scored nine points.
Liberty Christian Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Family Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Liberty Christian Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Landmark Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Landmark Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Family Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
