A Season-Best Performance from Omarean Ellis Leads Jackson Academy over St. Joseph Catholic
On Friday, Jackson Academy got the W thanks in part to Omarean Ellis playing the best football he has all season. Ellis rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.
Jackson Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Ellis and Jackson Academy will square off against Starkville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Kaden Catchings and Co. Win 21st in a Row
Hartfield Academy picked up their 21st consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kaden Catchings. Oak Forest Academy had no answer to Catchings as he rushed for 152 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries.
Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Catchings and Hartfield Academy will head out to face off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hartfield Academy picked up their 21st consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to London Simmons. Simmons turned in his biggest game of the season, picking up 4.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Oak Forest Academy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Simmons. Simmons picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss) the last time he and the Yellowjackets duked it out back in September of 2023.

Jackson Prep Gets a Boost from Puckett in 42-7 Victory
Jackson Prep picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Billy Puckett. Puckett was dynamite, throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
If the past is any indication, Puckett could be in store for another big game when he takes on Presbyterian Christian on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Puckett saw the Bobcats), he threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Samuel Stockett Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Samuel Stockett of Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Stockett threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory was the third in a row for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Stockett and Madison-Ridgeland Academy will play host again on Friday to welcome Hartfield Academy, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
