On Saturday, Greenville Christian was beaten by Trinity Christian Academy 68-35. While losing is never fun, Greenville Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1645th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 710th).
Meanwhile, Lakehill Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 43-38 to Coram Deo Academy. Lakehill Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lakehill Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Drew Perry, who scored 18 points along with five steals, and Preston Corder who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Perry scored a full 47.4% of Lakehill Prep's points, the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Greenville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lakehill Prep, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
