Volleyball Recap: Perryville's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Perryville's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bohemia Manor Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Perryville actually scored more points across those four sets (95-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 27-25, 16-25, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Perryville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caitlyn O'Donnell had 17 digs. O'Donnell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Perryville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Bohemia Manor, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perryville will host Elkton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bohemia Manor, after both having extra time off, they and Edgewood will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
