The Kings Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They slipped by True North Classical Academy 72-71. The victory was all the more spectacular given Kings' disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 388th in Ohio, while True North Classical Academy is ranked 84th in Florida).
True North Classical Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Boosie Swan, who scored 17 points along with four steals. The contest was Swan's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Alex Soto was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
The win got Kings back to even at 4-4. As for True North Classical Academy, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4.
Kings will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 9:00 p.m. on December 29th. True North Classical Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Westminster Christian at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th.
