James Island Christian's Josh Black rumbled for the longest rushing play in SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) this season in his game against Ridge Christian Academy last week. Black scampered for 90 yards on the play and finished with 163 on the day as his team beat the Paladins.
St. John's Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Faith Christian, 72-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Cavaliers.
Gibson Wall was the best wideout in the league this week as Henry Academy lost to Cathedral Academy. Wall racked up five receptions for 80 yards. Cone Taylor helped Henry Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 35 yards.
Black threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns. He was four-seven with zero interceptions.
On the ground, the Patriots' Paul Deloach has rushed for 1182 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Wall. The Henry Academy star has 17 catches for 457 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between St. John's Christian Academy and Beaufort Academy. Bill McCall's team enters the game ranked first in the state, while Beaufort Academy ranks 21st.
The Cavaliers took down the Knights 72-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
