 On the hitting side, Southampton got a  massive  performance out of  Kaylee Hill, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordyn Robertson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.
 Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-3. As for Southampton, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
 Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Sussex Central at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Southampton, they will head out on the road to  take on  Greensville County at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
