If The Sioux County Warriors were riding high off their 65-0 takedown of the Minatare Indians last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sioux County took a serious blow against Pawnee City on Friday, falling 55-22. Sioux County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-0.
Despite the loss, Sioux County still got an impressive performance from Jack Hunter, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Hunter was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards.
Jett Farwell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 219 yards and six touchdowns on only 13 carries. Another player making a difference was Anthony Kling, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Sioux County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Pawnee City, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Sioux County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pawnee City will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilcox-Hildreth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox-Hildreth is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
