McAdory hasn't had much luck against Calera recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets will head out on the road to  face off against  the Eagles  at 4:30  p.m. McAdory will be strutting in after a  win while Calera will be coming in after a  loss.
Calera will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: McAdory extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on Bessemer City with a sharp  17-0 victory. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a  run in their last three  games.

 Addison Mitchell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Those  eight  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  Payton Yarbrough was a standout: she scored three  runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most  runs  she has posted  over her last nine  matchups.  Josie Mahaffey was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 McAdory was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .571. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .429 or higher in three consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Calera fell victim to Auburn and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They lost  6-0 to the Tigers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Calera saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Isabelle Overton, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases.
 McAdory's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 19-9-1. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Calera, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
Calera's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  McAdory has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .444. It's a different story for Calera, though, as  they've  only  averaged .342. Will they be able to contain McAdory's hitters?
 McAdory skirted past Calera  5-4 in their previous matchup  back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
