The Southington Blue Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a  72-50 margin over New Britain. Southington might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 22  points or more this season.
 Southington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Hannah Blanchard led the charge by  scoring 21 points along with six  rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was  Lily Cooper, who  scored ten points along with eight  assists and three  steals.
 Southington has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for New Britain, they are  on a four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-5.
 Southington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Maloney at 6:45  p.m.  on January 9th. As for New Britain, they will look to defend their home court  on Monday against South Windsor at 6:45  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Connecticut (South Windsor is ranked 104th, while New Britain is ranked 96th).
