After a string of five wins, the Springbrook Blue Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paint Branch. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Springbrook has scored all season.
Paint Branch was led to victory by Isaiah Lee and Jordan Horm. Lee scored 19 points, while Horm dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Horm hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Jamarcus Yates was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Springbrook's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Paint Branch, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Springbrook will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Warriors on February 5th. One thing working in Sherwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
