Hialeah Educational Academy is 0-6 against Westminster Christian since April of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Biggie are taking a road trip to face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Hialeah Educational Academy sitting on three straight victories and Westminster Christian on four.
Hialeah Educational Academy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Westminster Christian: they just beat Monsignor Pace at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Biggie had just enough and edged out the Spartans 3-1.

JOSHUA CARDOSO made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other pitching news, JEREMIAH ACOSTA looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Westminster Christian never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Mater Academy Charter.
The team relied heavily on Bryan Borges, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Suarez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Westminster Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive contests.
Westminster Christian pushed their record up to 13-9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Hialeah Educational Academy couldn't quite get it done against Westminster Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Biggie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
