Despite the loss, Pueblo County still got an impressive performance from Dominic Mauro, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lowry Kirkland, who scored five points along with seven assists and two steals.
Andrew Trujillo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pueblo West, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. Trujillo hasn't dropped below 14 rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Montgomery, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Pueblo County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Pueblo West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Pueblo County will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo Centennial is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Pueblo West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
