Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Riverside Warriors, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 26-17 to York on Friday. Riverside has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Riverside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mikkel Skinner. Despite the final result, he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown.
York's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Michael Wanger and his two sacks.
Riverside now has a losing record at 5-6. As for York, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. York will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Westside will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
