Hilton Head Island is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Wilson 31-7.
Hilton Head Island's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thaddeus Czarnecki led the charge by rushing for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Czarnecki is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Derrick Raniszewski was another key player, rushing for 43 yards and one TD.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hilton Head Island's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Josh Bigger and Will Jimenez, who racked up five sacks between them. Thanks to that big game, Bigger is now up to 13 sacks on the season. Andrew Massey was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making ten total tackles.
Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy made easy work of Hartsville on Friday and carried off a 49-28 win.
Hilton Head Island better focus on containing Trevon Williamson and Xavier Wright as the pair were huge in Gray Collegiate Academy's win. Williamson gained 151 total yards and three touchdowns, while Wright threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards Wright has posted since back in September. Gray Collegiate Academy's leading receiver Hiszari Gantt was Wright's top target yet again, picking up 86 receiving yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gray Collegiate Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Hilton Head Island's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Czarnecki and Williamson. Czarnecki just won't slow down this season and has run in 18 touchdowns while averaging 105.1 rushing yards per game. Williamson has been a dominant force too and has run in 23 touchdowns while averaging 114.3 rushing yards per game.
