Baseball Recap: Crystal City Comes Up Short

Crystal City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the St. Vincent Indians, falling 10-4. One positive for the Hornets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Crystal City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian McGinnis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. McGinnis also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another was Nolan Eisenbeis, who got no hits from his three at bats.

Crystal City's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for St. Vincent, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Crystal City will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Valley Park at 4:30 p.m. As for St. Vincent, they will head out on the road to take on Perryville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
