The Athol Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 11th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Putnam Vo-Tech, falling 51-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Athol has suffered since January 3rd.
Despite the loss, Athol still got an impressive performance from Anna Duquette, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Duquette hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games.
Athol's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athol will square off against Mohawk Trail Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to challenge Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
