Friona was the 3-1 winner over Fort Elliott when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Chieftans fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Chieftans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Friona's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Fort Elliott, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Friona will take on San Jacinto Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Elliott, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Dalhart on the 23rd.
