Prairie View Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Tuesday. They took down Franklin Academy 79-65. The win was some much needed relief for Prairie View Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Prairie View Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abram Anthony out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Tullos, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest Christian can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 59-35 margin over Franklin Academy. The win was familiar territory for Hillcrest Christian who now have five in a row.
Severe McNeary continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Battle, who scored ten points.
Prairie View Academy's record is now 12-4. As for Hillcrest Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Prairie View Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 31.2 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Hillcrest Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 31.1 rebounds per game. Given Prairie View Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, Hillcrest Christian will need to find a way to close that gap.
