Northridge has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Northridge faced Fort Wayne Snider in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Northridge took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Wayne Snider. Northridge has not had much luck with Fort Wayne Snider recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Northridge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Rielyn Goodwin, who scored 12 points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Goodwin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Sabrina Miller was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Plymouth suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Culver Academies by a score of 49-47.
Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Everything came up roses for Northridge against Plymouth when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 61-29 victory. Will Northridge repeat their success, or does Plymouth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
