The Flathead Braves/Bravettes had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Great Falls. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flathead in their matchups with Great Falls: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Flathead had strong showings from Jordan Griffin, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals, and Lyric Ersland, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Korbin Eaton, who scored 13 points.
Flathead's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Great Falls, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Flathead will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Varsity Opponent is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Great Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
