After flying high against the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors last Friday, the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles came back down to earth. Lake Station Edison was the victim of a tough 72-50 loss at the hands of Chesterton on Friday.
Chesterton was led to victory by Tenley Davis and Kenedi Bradley. Davis dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Bradley scored 25 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bradley has scored at least 25% of Chesterton's points. Another player making a difference was Ciara Bonner, who scored nine points along with seven assists and four steals.
Lake Station Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Chesterton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Lake Station Edison will stay at home for another game and welcome Marquette Catholic on December 29th. Chesterton and McCutcheon will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. McCutcheon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
