The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wewoka, who took down 147th ranked Stratford, 53-31.
Wynnewood extended the longest winning streak in A District 5 this week by beating Caddo, 51-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Savages.
Wynnewood's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Pete Carter threw for 161 and 1 touchdown and Tyler Keith had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Bruner contributed 148 yards. Wanya Wright helped Wynnewood's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 44 yards.
Keith was the best receiver in the league this week as Brad O'Steen's team beat the Bruins. Keith racked up 2 receptions for 59 yards. Wright helped Wynnewood's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 44 yards.
Wynnewood's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Savages feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 692 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Wright has 11 catches for 191 yards. Carter also leads the league in rushing with 501 yards.
At the moment, the Savages are in first, while the Bulldogs are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Wynnewood takes on Stratford. The Savages have allowed 73 points this season, while Robert McDown's team has given up 124. Wynnewood allowed 7 points last week as it defeated Caddo.
The Savages took down Jeremy Proctor's team 51-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Carter ran for 108 yards in the win.
