Wahoo has gone a perfect 4-0 against Douglas County West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will host the Falcon at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Wahoo's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Wahoo's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Gross Catholic, posting a 49-0 victory. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cougars are ranked 40th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kip Brigham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 258 yards and four TDs while picking up 16.1 yards per carry, and also catching one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season. Landon Fye did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 85 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wahoo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 356 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Another reason for the win was Wahoo's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Logan Kelly, Eli Shada, and Jack Krueger, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Douglas County West was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 19-14 to Roncalli Catholic. The Falcon have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Wahoo has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 331.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Douglas County West, though, as they've been averaging only 85.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Wahoo against Douglas County West when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-0 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
