The Lapel Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Mississinewa Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. The stars were shining brightly for Lapel in a 61-44 victory over Mississinewa on Saturday.
Lapel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brode B judge out in front who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which B judge has scored at least 25% of Lapel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Judge, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Mississinewa lost, one person who can't be blamed is Preston McCann. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The contest was McCann's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kobe Johnson, who scored eight points.
Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Mississinewa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Lapel will be home for the holidays to greet Muncie Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mississinewa, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastbrook at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
