The Ledford Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Bethany by a score of 46-38. The win was just what Ledford needed coming off of a 51-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Ledford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izzy Smith, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Ledford's points. Ava Francis was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 15 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Bethany lost, one person who can't be blamed is Haley Ricketts. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Ricketts scored a full 31.6% of Bethany's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Ledford won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Davidson at 12:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. South Davidson has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20. Bethany won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Thomasville at 9:00 a.m. on December 29, 2023. Thomasville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
