There's no place like home for the North Lincoln Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They skirted past Foard 47-44. For North Lincoln, this counts as revenge for the 55-39 loss Foard walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
North Lincoln found their leader in underclassman Ally Smith, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Madi Black, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Foard lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Imani Ikard. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Ikard hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinzer Abernathy, who scored seven points.
North Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Foard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.
North Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Iredell at 6:00 p.m. North Lincoln is facing West Iredell at the right time seeing as West Iredell is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Foard, they will head out on the road to square off against Hickory at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
