The River City Science Academy Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Eagle's View Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: River City Science Academy has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Eagle's View will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Monday, River City Science Academy took a serious blow against Trinity Christian Academy, falling 66-32. While losing is never fun, River City Science Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 681st, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 247th).
Meanwhile, it was close, but Eagle's View ultimately received the gift of a 56-54 win from a begrudging Warriorssquad.
Eagle's View got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenneth Berry out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Berry set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Justis Clements, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
River City Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Eagle's View, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything went River City Science Academy's way against Eagle's View when the teams last played back in November of 2018 as River City Science Academy made off with a 73-48 win.
