The Virgin Valley Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Chaparral 79-2 at home. Considering Virgin Valley has won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Virgin Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audrey Fiso, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Wright, who scored 13 points.
Virgin Valley now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chaparral, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Virgin Valley will play host again and welcome Mater Academy East Las Vegas, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Mater Academy East Las Vegas is ranked 57th, while Virgin Valley is ranked 40th). As for Chaparral, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey St. Viator at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey St. Viator comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
