The Lake Travis Cavaliers entered their tilt with the Bowie Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Lake Travis came out on top against Bowie by a score of 57-46 on Tuesday. Given Lake Travis' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Bowie is ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Lake Travis to victory were Adrian Mathis and Chas Biegel. Mathis scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Biegel scored 20 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Mathis pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Thomas, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Lake Travis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season. As for Bowie, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-10.
Lake Travis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-54 loss vs. Johnson on the 9th. Bowie has also already played their next match, a 82-48 victory against Del Valle on the 9th.
