Brylynn Rickert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Spring got a massive performance out of Maleah Grounds, who fired off three stolen bases, four doubles, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four doubles gave Grounds a new career-high. Hailey Jones-Calais was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Spring was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .773. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in nine consecutive matchups.
Benjamin Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Spring, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
