On Friday Independence take on Amite at 7:00 PM. Independence are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Independence suffered a grim 6-34 defeat to Sumner last Friday.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their game two weeks ago, Amite were humbled. They fell to North Delta 0-14. Amite are ranked 47th in the state (210 spots ahead of North Delta), so the loss was all the more frustrating.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
